We love to look at potions in the autumn. The boys and girls find lots of fun things to mix, maybe it will fizz, change colour or even smell different. Be very careful though if you enter nursery you may leave as a frog 🐸.

After you have all done such a fantastic job at collecting Autumn treasures, in the front room we have been looking at different ways we can investigate and explore them.
It is really interesting to stand back and watch the play that happens when each child explores differently.

Our sand area in the nursery garden allows the children to explore on a larger scale. Moving their full body and using fine motor skills.
They strengthen muscle and help with coordination.
While also being such great fun.

Loose parts ...while you get out and about over the summer see if you can collect any loose parts ..create patterns, make up stories, count, line up, press into dough, then save them or bring them into nursery ...so much learning from the simple things in our local environment...
