On Sunday 7th June 2026, Childline South Africa will join @The_DSD and various stakeholders for the closing ceremony of Child Protection Month. This is being held under the theme “Working together in ending violence against children”.
As Child Protection Month 2026 draws to a close, the Department of Social Development will lead the national closing ceremony in Ezibeleni, near Queenstown in the Chris Hani District, under the theme “Working Together in Ending Violence Against Children.”
The programme will place a strong focus on raising awareness about statutory rape, child abuse, neglect and exploitation, while encouraging communities in and around Ezibeleni to speak out, report abuse and protect children at all times. Child Protection is a 365-day responsibility.
