This is the absolute dangerous mess we’re in.
Every area of the country is paying the price for the lies sold about Brexit.
While politicians argue/lie/mislead about resets and red lines, a totally catastrophic shitshow is building thanks to Trump’s war and Hormuz.
We abandoned the 1947 Act principles that treated food as a public good.
We ripped up frictionless trade with the huge market we are integrated with and rely on for basic essentials.
But many in Brexit areas still won’t believe Brexit is a disaster because politicians keep the lies alive.
Britain is left dangerously exposed. We have no resilience to survive what’s coming.
Food security is national security.

🚨 WARNING
Britain is dangerously exposed to a food crisis which is million times worse than PPE crisis in Covid.
We produce too little of our own food, rely too heavily on imports, hold almost no reserves, and are failing to support the farmers we will desperately need when global shocks hit.
@BBCNewsnight touched on this looming catastrophe.

@FoodSafetyMag Would have been logical to replace the skinning machine's primary food contact surface (conveyor material) instead of just decontaminating everything else and then reinstalling it! No wonder Listeria remained present #Listeria101
This #guidance includes practical tools: decision trees, micro criteria compliance options, checklists, shelf life establishment frameworks, worked examples, limitations of predictive modelling including @ComBase & a detailed Q&A. #listeria#foodsafety#microcriteria#shelflife
Great to be invited (again!) to speak at #BRCGSConnect full house yesterday, presenting on #Listeria#monocytogenes, listeriosis, a forthcoming change to EU #Regulation 2073/2005 criterion 1.2b, #compliance best practice (https://t.co/amIUCubaTP) & what good control looks like
No change to the fundamentals of #shelflife establishment, but greater detail and clearer direction on how to justify shelf life, use data, and, if necessary, meet the amended criterion 1.2b. Download : https://t.co/BHPi7ntITL

#ShelfLife must be evidence-based: product parameters, microbial behaviour, vulnerable consumers, historical data, and robust studies where needed. Download our new guide: https://t.co/BHPi7ntITL

The British Retail Consortium @the_brc and major retailers endorse this guidance, recognising its value in supporting compliance and improving food safety across chilled RTE production. #listeria#foodsafety#microcriteria#shelflife
Karin Goodburn MBE, @chilledfood DG and Chair of the Industry #Listeria Group: “This #guidance brings practical clarity to assuring the safety of #RTEfoods, setting #shelflife, responding to detections and strengthening preventive controls.” https://t.co/BHPi7ntb4d
