I drive a tow truck. My job is to take cars from people who can't pay. It sucks.
I had an order for a 2015 Corolla. I pulled up at 2 AM. A woman ran out in her pajamas. She didn't scream. She didn't curse. She just pleaded.
'Please,' she begged. 'I have a job interview at 8 AM. If I don't get there, I can't pay the bank. If you take the car, I lose the job before I get it.'
I looked in the backseat. Two car seats.
I looked at her. She was shivering.
I unhooked the chains.
'I couldn't find the VIN number,' I lied. 'I have to come back tomorrow night to verify it.'
I handed her $40 from my wallet. 'Put some gas in it. Go get that job. You have 24 hours.'
She got the job. She paid the bank. She kept the car.
Sometimes you have to break the rules to fix a life.
@Micky_right I once opted for 70 just to drink a cold one, even had the audacity to tell the petrol jocky to pump slowly. To my surprise the empty light even disappeared.
@GeorgeImz35@NBCDigitalNews SWAPO is the law, so we must just forgive and forget.... even lumbago dungeons forgive and forget... those of you who did not exercise your right and vote forgive and forget.. law is binding to non SWAPO... Even Esau,Sacky ,Mike, Gustavo etc we will have to forgive and forget
@TheNamibian A crocodile must only attack a kavango or caprivian ,it must never try to attack a vambo even if a vambo goes beyond normal safety procedure's and enters it's attacking range.....a vambo is not to be disturbed ever 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@namibiansun Some people are just ignorant, I hope the plight of the people gets taken seriously cause nature is also trying to mind it's own business , wildlife conflict needs to be taken seriously.
@Shipululo They will just create a new one Angola/Namibia border and start funny costly health permits not excluding week's of isolation and repeating test...by the time you bring livestock at auctions it becomes inviable to break even.
