🇵🇱 Polonia acaba de levantar algo que parece sacado de otra época.

Hoy, 15 de agosto, solemnidad de la Asunción de la Virgen María, se bendice en Konotopie la monumental imagen de la Virgen de la Misericordia.

55,6 metros de altura.

Es ya la imagen mariana más alta de Europa, superando incluso monumentos que durante años parecían inalcanzables.

Pero lo verdaderamente interesante no es solo su tamaño.

La construcción comenzó en 2025 y fue impulsada por Roman y Grażyna Karkosik como un voto de agradecimiento. La inspiración fue una pequeña imagen de la Virgen venerada en el santuario local.

Para levantarla se utilizaron alrededor de 2.500 m³ de hormigón y en su interior se ha previsto incluso un ascensor hasta una terraza panorámica.

Y hoy, en la fiesta de la Asunción, el monumento será solemnemente bendecido después de una Misa presidida por el obispo de Włocławek.

En una Europa que tantas veces parece olvidar sus raíces cristianas, resulta profundamente simbólico contemplar una imagen de María elevándose 55,6 metros sobre el paisaje polaco.

No para sustituir a Cristo.

Sino para recordar aquello que María dijo en Caná:
