BWC: Tenn. SWAT officer shoots man wielding sword, holding woman against her will
Nashville officers first came in contact with the man when he threatened to kill a gas station clerk; they negotiated with him for more than an hour before the fatal shots were fired.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Metro Nashville Police Department released body camera video showing a SWAT officer fatally shooting a suspect wielding a sword, according to the department.
The Aug. 29 incident began when officers were dispatched to a gas station after a reported dispute between the suspect and a clerk. The suspect reportedly left the store after an argument over payment for coffee and returned with the sword.
The man yelled at the clerk to “come outside now, I’ll kill you.”
About an hour after the gas station response, the department received a call from the suspect’s family members, warning that he may become a danger to others and that he was still armed with a sword.
Officers then located the suspect’s vehicle via the department’s air unit. Officers on the ground stopped the car.
The suspect then exited the vehicle with the sword and began yelling at officers. Officers discovered that a woman inside the car was being held there against her will, according to police.
Officers spoke with the man for more than an hour in an effort to persuade him to surrender. After the suspect continued to refuse to drop the sword, SWAT was called to the scene.
Body camera footage from a SWAT officer shows the man holding the sword before an officer fired three shots, striking the man.
The man was transported to a hospital, where he died. The woman was not injured.
The SWAT officer has been “decommissioned and relieved of all police authority while the TBI investigates the shooting on behalf of District Attorney General Glenn Funk,” the department stated in a press release.

🚨BREAKING: UKRAINE REPORTEDLY STRIKES RUSSIAN PORT CITY OF SOCHI
Ukrainian unmanned naval vessels reportedly attacked the seaport in Sochi, on Russia’s Black Sea coast, during the morning of September 3, according to local reports and monitoring channels.
Footage emerging from the area appears to show smoke rising near the port following reports of explosions. Ukrainian naval drones are believed to have been used in the attack.
Some reports indicate that a vessel operating in support of offshore oil and gas activities may have been the target. However, the exact target, extent of damage and any casualties have not been independently confirmed.
The reported strike marks a further expansion of Ukraine’s maritime drone campaign along Russia’s Black Sea coastline, coming amid an intensifying series of attacks on Russian ports and maritime infrastructure.

On today's Chimpout fight we see a fat guy slapped around with his own flip-flop... smh.
Maybe don't start shit with the guy who looks like a character from GTA:
Fight in New York.
She was warned repeatedly to stay back.
Instead, she forced her way into an active arrest and struck a Tempe police officer multiple times in the face.
The officer used one strike to stop the assault and regain control.
The full video matters. This is exactly why UCOPS supports the HALO Act, which would give officers a 15-foot buffer zone while conducting arrests like this.
