President Xi Jinping held large group talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
President Xi pointed out that in recent years, faced with a fluid and turbulent international situation, China and Russia have developed the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the new era on the basis of equality, mutual respect, good faith, and win-win cooperation.
Political mutual trust has further deepened, cooperation in various areas such as trade and economy, investment, energy, science and technology, people-to-people and subnational exchanges continued to advance, and the bonds between the two peoples have grown stronger. China-Russia relationship has entered a new stage of greater achievements and faster development.
President Vladimir Putin’s upcoming state visit will be his 25th trip to China. President Xi Jinping and President Putin will discuss China-Russia 🇨🇳🇷🇺 relations, cooperation in various fields and international and regional issues of mutual interest.
President Xi noted that President Trump’s visit has been a historic and landmark one. We have agreed on a new vision of a constructive China-U.S. relationship of strategic stability, and reached important common understandings on keeping economic and trade ties stable, expanding practical cooperation in various fields, properly addressing each other’s concerns, and enhancing communication and coordination on international and regional issues.
The two sides should effectively implement our important understandings, cherish the hard-earned momentum, move in the right direction, steer clear of interference, and promote the steady development of the relationship.
President Xi pointed out that the people of China and the U.S. are both great peoples. Achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and making America great again can go hand in hand. We can help each other succeed and advance the well-being of the world.
President Trump and I agreed to build a constructive China-U.S. relationship of strategic stability to promote the steady, sound and sustainable development of China-U.S relations, and bring more peace, prosperity and progress to the world.
China-U.S. relations concern the well-being of the over 1.7 billion people of both countries, and affect the interests of over 8 billion people of the world. Both sides should rise up to this historic responsibility and steer the giant ship of China-U.S. relations forward steadily and in the right direction.
President Xi Jinping held talks with U.S. President Donald J. Trump.
President Xi noted that transformation not seen in a century is accelerating across the globe, and the international situation is fluid and turbulent. The world has come to another crossroads. Can China and the United States overcome the Thucydides Trap and create a new paradigm of major-country relations? Can we meet global challenges together and provide greater stability for the world? Can we build a bright future together for our bilateral relations in the interest of the well-being of the two peoples and the future of humanity? These are the questions vital to history, to the world, and to the people. They are the questions of our times that the leaders of major countries need to answer together.
President Xi stressed that the two countries have more common interests than differences, success in one is an opportunity for the other, and a stable bilateral relationship is good for the world. We should be partners, not rivals. We should help each other succeed and prosper together, and find the right way for major countries to get along well with each other in the new era. I look forward to our discussions on major issues important to our two countries and the world, and working together with you to set the course and steer the giant ship of China-U.S. relations, so as to make 2026 a historic, landmark year that opens up a new chapter in China-U.S. relations.
