Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Dr. Maniruddin Sheikh, former MLA of Lilong Assembly Constituency. His passing leaves a void in public life that will be difficult to fill.

Dr. Sheikh was a respected leader of the Meitei Pangal community, whose contributions to public welfare and inclusive development will always be remembered. Having also served as the Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, he was a statesman of vision and commitment. His demise is indeed a great loss to the State.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, and well-wishers. My thoughts and prayers are with them during this hour of grief. May they find strength to bear this irreparable loss.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Held a meeting with representatives of AMUCO, MSF, Poirei Leimarol, COHR & AMAWOVA at the Secretariat, in the presence of Hon’ble HM Shri K. Govindas Singh and MLAs. Discussed in detail the key issues raised.

The Tronglaobi incident is deeply unfortunate and disrupted ongoing peace efforts. The State is in constant coordination with Union HM @AmitShah Ji.

Strict action will be taken against those responsible. Govt remains committed to restoring peace, ensuring security & upholding the rule of law.

They were brutally murdered.
On 6 July, 2023 they went missing and ever since their whereabouts are not known. The families have reported police complaints and spoken about this in the media too. But today a picture surfaced of the two teenagers having been brutally Murdered.

Look into the eyes of the girl, imagine how she must have felt, the moments before she was killed brutally. Do you need to see more of this Brutality and Savagery or just wait until the next time "MODI SAY SO" moment??

Is it because her body wasn't paraded naked by the crowd?? What harm could the 17 year old girl have done so that her life couldn't be spared???

As per the investigation, the girl's mobile phone call record was last traced to Kwakta in Bishnupur district.

The boy's mobile phone is currently in use with a new SIM card registered under the name of a Kuki man with the location of the phone showing Lamdan village in Churachandpur district.
