Al Sharpton and other activists are telling Black Americans and Black-owned businesses to boycott America’s 250th birthday.

My response: You do not speak for me.

You do not get to use my skin color to tell me what I can celebrate. I was not a slave. You were not a slave. We are free Americans, and I refuse to walk around pretending we are still in chains.

Yes, I proudly put George Washington on my America 250 Cousin T’s pancake box. He owned slaves, but that is not his entire legacy. He was also our first president and helped build the nation that gave people like me the freedom to rise.

I went from foster care to building Cousin T’s, a successful Black-owned American company. I am living the American Dream.

So while Al Sharpton is calling for a boycott, I am calling for Black Americans to stop letting professional outrage merchants convince us that patriotism belongs only to white people.

America is my country too.

I will celebrate her loudly, proudly, and without permission.

NEW: Man with a life sentence who was granted clemency by Trump in 2021, has turned his life around and is graduating from SMU.

Chris Young is graduating with degrees in economics and public policy.

Young spent a decade in prison after being arrested for the third time for drugs.

He was handed two life sentences with no possibility of parole under the "three strikes and you’re out" sentencing law.

Just five years after being granted clemency by President Trump, Young is set to graduate college.

I’m Jewish. I have family history that makes what’s happening in NYC right now impossible to ignore. This past week, mobs targeted synagogues in Brooklyn. A child was attacked. This is not politics, this is hatred, in plain sight, and too many people are scrolling past it. I made this video because silence has a cost. History has proven that. “Never Again” is not a slogan. A US soldier shared a testimony from her time overseas.

She said her team used to laugh at her and call her "church girl" because she prayed before every mission. Some told her they did not want to hear her prayers. She prayed anyway.
Later, she was pulled off the road as punishment.

She said her team started getting hit by bombs every time she was not with them. Then her team leader came to her and asked her to come back.
He told her, "We keep getting hit and we need your protection. Whatever you're praying, it's working."

She said she went back out, and they were never hit again.
Maya Johnson brought home 300 people, and nobody from her group died.

This is a powerful reminder that prayer is not weak. This testimony shows that the one true God hears, protects, and still answers prayer.
