@m0rdhorst@brudi_lambo@The_Davos_Man About to say the french communist party was sharing power multiple times with social democrats (once with mitterand and also in the 1930s within the popular front)
@Excitonwar@Der_Parrot Yeah I don’t feel like there’s any momentum or move towards more aid/support for Ukraine or joining NATO. While there’s currently a debate on how to allocate new funds to our army (which is ofc in context of the current conflicts), the debate reg. our stance to Ukraine has faded
@robertisposting Who are mainly concentrated in rural areas and suburbs. So it’s actually not surprising you haven’t met one. Someone being gay is statistically more common than being a svp voter
@robertisposting Well keep in mind thats like 30% of roughly 50% (average participation rate)of swiss people who are actually eligible to vote. Plus another 25% who cant vote at all due immigrant status. SVP had a total of 700k votes in the last election, thats barely 10% of the population
@Julio974 Best new year speech by a swiss federal councillor was by Adolf Ogi in French. The mix of his enthusiasm and his super strong accent in French makes it hilarious
