Observed Partition Horrors Remembrance Day at the Manipur State Film Development Society, Imphal, in the presence of Hon’ble Governor Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri @YKhemchandSingh and other esteemed dignitaries.

We remember the countless lives lost, families torn apart and millions uprooted by Partition. The BJP remains the only political party that has institutionalised a national remembrance of this immense human suffering, ensuring that the pain and sacrifice of those affected are neither forgotten nor repeated.

Deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Shri Oken Amakcham, a true luminary of Manipuri Cinema.
​His contribution to the film industry was monumental, marked by his exceptional talent as both a director and an actor. A visionary storyteller, he brought pride to our state as a recipient of the National Film Award for Best Feature Film. His expertise and dedication to the craft were also recognized at the national level, where he served as a jury member for the 58th National Film Awards.
​His departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the world of Manipuri art and culture. We have lost a guiding light, but his cinematic legacy will continue to inspire generations of filmmakers and artists to come.
​Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and the entire film fraternity during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
