@PauloCampbell Brentford will be lacking in amenities if Watermans closes, and it shouldn’t just be the preserve of those with £2m houses to enjoy a cinema a short walking distance away.

The key thing is securing a commitment for the new Half Acre site anyway.

@PauloCampbell We would love to have walkable neighbourhoods, but to achieve that, we need amenities nearby.

Sadly this is lacking at the moment, and will worsen with the closure of the Watermans Centre.

Despite council promises, it took more than a decade for the cinema to return. We cannot repeat that mistake.

We need a firm commitment to go ahead with the Half Acre development as planned.
