So sad my placement with the Adult Community Mental Health team is finished, canβt express how much Iβve enjoyed myself and learned invaluable lessons which will stay with me forever! Feel like Iβm leaving a more well rounded OT and excited for the next chapter.
Ps my supervisor was the best! Feeling greatfull for having the opportunity to learn from someone so knowledgeable. She also combined my love of game of thrones and red wine what a thoughtful gift!
Last reflection of placement completed, crazy to think 9 weeks ago I was filled with fear at doing my first mental health placement to now thinking this is an area I would love to explore more once qualified! Always stay open-minded and embrace the journey.
Had a great day doing my case study presentation, exploring a patient on my case load through an occupational justice lens. Truly shows the importance of exploring not just healthcare but wider societal barriers being faced & our role to be change makers & advocators.
Had a brilliant morning at the North Ayrshire OT locality meeting, amazing to hear about all the opportunities for OTs and find out more about different roles.
Canβt believe my placement with @turningpointsco is complete. Feeling blessed for such an amazing experience developing and promoting OT within the learning disabilities inclusion team. Canβt thank the staff and service users enough for an unforgettable time!
Final day of placement at @turningpointsco Grateful for every moment spent learning about supporting individuals with learning disabilities as an #OT. Immensely thankful for the invaluable lessons and experiences gained.
Second day of sensory board building at @turningpointsco amazing to see mine and @JoyakpanumohOT little baby come to life. PS I did not injure myself or anyone else with the drill remarkably π
Had a great day on placement at @turningpointsco creating a sensory board for the inclusion team with my superstar peer partner @JoyakpanumohOT π hopefully leaving a lasting legacy on our role emerging placement!
