BREAKING: Norwegian oil giant @equinor just announced £6.6 billion in profits for the past 3 months.
Thanks to generous tax breaks, UK taxpayers will now effectively cover 91% of the costs for Equinor to develop the Rosebank oil field.
That's around a £3bn tax break for Equinor
.@ICParkLane is making a huge mistake by hosting the Oil & Money conference.
The Big Oil companies meeting at the hotel are ignoring science, drilling for more fossil fuels and driving the climate crisis across the world.
@ICParkLane should cancel the conference!
Proud that my motion to increase cloth nappy use in Liverpool was passed, unanimously, by @lpoolcouncil this evening. Reusables save our families money and help the environment! If you're interested in switching, you can speak to the fab @cloth_liverpool!
Item 13. Increasing the use of cloth nappies in Liverpool by Councillor @hettywood. The motion asks that council resolves to work with partners to develop and introduce a cloth nappy incentive scheme for Liverpool families to use and promote.
@hettywood@MJW45@lpoolcouncil Also reusables nappies aren’t for everyone and this scheme isn’t forcing it on anyone who isn’t able to fund the upkeep/prefers disposables but it helps make reusables more accessible to those who want to use them and may not have been able to afford the initial costs otherwise
@hettywood@MJW45@lpoolcouncil I use reusable nappies and it’s only two extra washes a week. My weekly shops are much cheaper without having to buy disposables which are also rising in price. With the help in funding the reusable nappies with this scheme the saving will be even greater! 🙌🏼
