A little insight into the 2D (2.5D) design process is shown here, with the design sketched out in markerpen, and then converted into a digital model, from which a G-code (XYZ+E instruction code) is generated.

We thought we'd do a #TBT (Throwback Thursday) today ! With Easter approaching, coupled with our recent chats about 2.75D work, we've chosen to post an image of our "Easter Basket", which was originally designed as the main piece for a news report about innovative tech in the UK.

Although it's only a minor celebration, and we've still got a long way to go, we can't help but cheer, as April 1st marks the end of the current shielding advisory in the UK, which means even more children will be able to return to school and finally see their friends !!

Some things are so amazing that they're still hard to believe over 130 years later ! -- It's March 31st 2021, and on this day back in 1889, the Choc Edge Team's favourite monument, the "Eiffel Tower", was opened to the public -- Happy Eiffel Tower Day !

We're still in the first month of BackToSchool 2021 here in the UK. So far, from what we've heard from teachers and those in the education sector, children are enjoying learning more than ever before now they're back in the classroom with their friends, which is fantastic news !!

Back To School 2021 has been announced !!
If we've learned anything from lockdown, it's that studying in a classroom/workshop environment has been sorely missed by children, and there's a positive buzz across the UK now that a Back-To-School date has been announced !!

It was finally announced last night -- Back To School 2021 -- In many cases, classrooms have been closed for almost a year, so it's now more important than ever for teachers to reinvigorate and engage their students in hands-on activities -- Let's make this happen everyone !!
