I think it'll be a similar situation to the shift in the community when tierlisting became a big deal in MCC. Stronger players dealing with more pressure and not being able to play for fun, weaker players being driven out/upset/feeling like they have to do better.

The growth of things like "Event ELO" tracking stats for every single event and player is a bad sign for the community. No option to opt out, and it's so present in the community you really can't ignore it. I think it's going to really hinder how people play and enjoy events
