I often find it difficult to say or press for such as I've learned to lean towards compassion (vs. competence) as a Christ-follower...
However, in the real world, esp. in the highly competitive or critical fields or industries, there's NO way around it, particularly if someone (or anyone) has been given an important responsibility (or a position of leadership).

Truly HUMBLE person (or people) does NOT mind learning from others or yielding to others when needed. It is the PROUD (or insecure) person that often does not or cannot overcome this barrier... And thereby, they often stall, stagnate, and succumb to fear.
P.S. One of the reasons why God does not use or honor the proud that often, if at all, whereas He often chooses and uses the humble.

Since it was by and through His divine choice (vs. ours), we seek to honor it even if we become discouraged, tired, or weary at times.
