#Horrific A horrifying incident has emerged from Begusarai, Bihar, exposing a chilling failure of justice and human dignity.

A poor woman was raped, but when she approached the police seeking justice, her FIR was reportedly not registered and she was sent back without action.

What followed was even more barbaric.

The accused allegedly convened a Kangaroo court (Khaap panchayat), where the survivor was publicly humiliated and forced to lick spit in front of a crowd.

This is not just an assault on one woman, it is a stark reminder of how survivors of sexual violence can face intimidation, public humiliation and systemic failure instead of justice.

Date of appointment of a Judge of the Supreme Court decides the seniority and eventually who gets to become Chief Justice of India and for how long. Does this explain the 'extraordinary emergency' with which strength of Supreme Court has been increased through an 'Ordinance'?

An ordinance can only be promulgated when both Houses of Parliament are not in session. The Budget Session ended barely a month ago. The cabinet approved this increase in strength merely few weeks after the session ended. Were they deliberately waiting for the session to end?

Or are we to believe that Govt is so poor at planning that it couldn't bring a Bill to this effect in the Budget Session? And that pendency of cases in SC, built over the years, needs such an urgent resolution that Govt couldn't wait till July when Monsoon Session will begin?

On the face of it, this seems like a rather uncontroversial decision that would have easily passed in #Parliament. Then, why is the Parliament being bypassed now?

Is this a move to get some particular judges appointed to SC just in time to hear some particular cases pending before the court? Also, what is the rationale behind the number '37'? Why not 36 or 39? How are these decisions taken? What are the factors considered?

We will never know because an Ordinance forecloses the possibility of Govt justifying its decision 'before' enacting a law. Ofcourse, this would be painted as a 'historic' decision as all decisions of Govt are. But the real intent may only be known later.

FRAANDS, y'day #LokSabha passed a Bill in 4 mins for which 4 hours were allotted! Extreme efficiency - so much time saved for Ministers to make more reels 👏

This Bill increases the strength of Supreme Court judges and replaces an Ordinance promulgated in May 2026. We had earlier expressed concern on bringing it as an Ordinance ()

Y'day, MPs had moved a statutory resolution to disapprove the Ordinance. But it was defeated through voice vote conducted amid chaos and protests. The entire Bill was passed within minutes without any debate whatsoever. No MP spoke on the Bill. Only the Minister made a speech for 5 mins.

It must also be noted that this Bill has been classified as 'Money Bill'. As the Bill increases strength of SC judges, obviously it will entail expenses on their salaries and other allowances. Therefore Govt justifies classifying it as a Money Bill but it is a false justification. The implementation of almost every legislation entails some expenditure by Govt, that is not enough to classify Bills as Money Bills.

Now the situation is:
- no prior public consultation had happened before bringing the ordinance
- it has not been referred to a Paroiament Committee
- Lok Sabha has passed Bill without any debate
- Rajya Sabha need not even take it up since it's classified as a Money Bill.

But what 'shocks' us are young girls using expletives and not Bills being passed in this manner 👏👏

Three minor students of TGMRS Serlingampally (Boys-1) sexually assaulted by fellow seniors, Parents approached Amjed Ullah Khan for help:

Two minor boys of Class Vth Telangana Government Minorities Residential School Serlingampally (Boys-1) Bowrampet were sexually assaulted by fellow school mates of Class VIth & VIIIth, matter came to the notice when one of the the victims was unable to sit properly and complained of stomach pain to his mother and after much query told her mother about the incident.The parents then informedthe incident to the principal who didn't do anything.Then the father of the victim approached Dundigal Police Station after which an FIR No: 769/2026 u/s 5(g), 5(1), 5(m) r/w 6 POCSO Act 2012.

Neither the TGMREIS Officials nor the Dundigal Police Station officials took victim to the hospital for medical treatment. Today morning the brother of the victim also said that even he and one another student has also been sexually assaulted by the same accused @

Today the parents contacted Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman) MBT and informed about the incident and carelessness of the TGMREIS Officials and Dundigal Police Station Officials.Amjed Ullah Khan visited the TGMRS (Boys-1) Serlingampally, Bowrampet and spoke with the minor victims and inspected the Dormetlntary were the incident happened and inquired with the Principal & Staff about the CCTV cameras and how come VIth & VIIIth Class students were allowed to sleep with the Class Vth students and what was Night Duty Teacher and Warden was doing when this incident happened.When the matter was reported by father of the victim, why the management didn't sent victim to hospital.Principal and Staff were unable to answer the questions raised by Amjed Ullah Khan.

Later Mr Khan spoke to Inspector of Police Dundigal Police Station and questioned him why Medical Test has not been done even after matter reported 24 hours past. Mr Khan also brought to the notice of Inspector of Police Dundigal that the FIR mentioned as one victim but thre are two more victims which has to be investigated.

Later Mr Khan also spoke to Sri Shafiullah IFS, Secretary TGMREIS and demanded stern action against dereliction of duty by TMRS Principal & Staff and informed him about non-functioning of CCTV Cameras.Later speaking to Meda Mr Khan said that in such cases medical attention should be given on top priority and counseling of the victims should be done, which has not been done till now. Mr Khan said any untoward incident happening in TGMRS Schools, Colleges & Hostels one thing is common the administration is saying that CCTV cameras are no working so where is the CCTV cameras maintenance money going.

Mr Khan said from the death of Sadiya Mahim-14 years Student of Xth Class TMRS Buchnelli, Sangareddy District and Murder of Mohammed Ruzwan student of IXth Class (Yakutpura Boys-2) and Sucide of Shaik Moosa student of TMRS School Chandiur, Kamareddy District and food poisoning of 23 students of TGMRS Mushreeabad and minor girl student giving birth case in TMRS School Golkonda etc in all cases some suspension are being done temporarily but the same Officials are being taken back again.

Two days ago, a widowed mother packed up her life and left her rented home in Noida with her 15-year-old daughter.

She said they had little choice: police and strangers were turning up at their doorstep after her daughter — a Class 10 student — became embroiled in a controversy over alleged remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The mother said her daughter had apologised and that the Prime Minister had forgiven her, but the family was still facing constant harassment.

“I am raising my daughter alone. My husband died in an accident in 2019, and my younger son lives with my in-laws. How can we continue living there when people and the police keep coming to our house?” she told The Indian Express, appealing to the authorities and the public to stop hounding her family.

The girl allegedly made derogatory remarks against the PM during a protest by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. The Noida Police registered a case against her.
