Top 10 PC Game Music Covers and Remixes of 2025
(Sadly, there's been a marked increase in AI slop this year but thankfully there's still a lot of genuine talent out there).

Carmen Sandiego Review
Pretty faithful to the Netflix series and even has a similar gameplay loop to the original games but not many cities are available to visit and clues can be somewhat uninspired.

Jones on Fire Review
It's an endless runner for people who love rescuing cats. Otherwise, not much else to say about this game.

10 Most Anticipated PC Games of 2026 (as picked by Choicest Games)
It's that time of the year again. Time to pick 10 games that we've got our eyes on that are apparently releasing next year.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Choicest Games Top 100, I thought why not do a revised one. There's a lot you'd normally expect on a Top 100 list but there are a few you probably wouldn't too.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Review
A showstopper bug kept causing CTDs. Despite my attempts to make it work it didn't and it's probably just as well, the game hasn't aged terribly well anyway (except for its awesome soundtrack). Time for a remake!

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Review
I finally got around to reviewing this! It's different, just like every iteration of Dragon Age before it but it also reminds me of Mass Effect 2, which I like.

Into the Stars Review
This game doesn't rate well on Steam and the developer seems out of business. But is it at least any fun?
Unfortunately, it is not.

Stardew Valley Review
I've actually had Stardew Valley for quite a while but only really got into it in the past few months. It's as good as everybody says it is, especially in co-op.

911 Operator Review
If you want to get a taste of what it's like to be the "guy in the chair" dispatching emergency services, this is the game for you.

Blood, Sweat and Pixels Review
A good read and recommended for anyone with a passing interest in what happens behind closed doors from solo indie developers, to AAA video game development studios.

The Lords of Midnight Review
While considered a groundbreaking game in its day, especially on the ZX Spectrum, the gameplay hasn't aged well and there are superior options if you want to get your fantasy fix today

Sid Meier's Civilization VII Review
A rough launch, basic UI, some dumbed down gameplay and the splitting of the game into three acts with weird victory conditions means it can be a hard pill to swallow, but the game still has its moments

The Making of Karateka Review
It might not have all versions of Karateka included but The Making of Karateka provides quite a bit of depth about Mechner's game development practices in the early 1980s and includes a worthwhile 2023 remake to boot

Humankind Review:
https://t.co/xlSJAosrdN
It's more mature, cynical and realistic to Civ in many ways but I think it forgets how to be a fun game in the process
Planetfall Review
Basically a sci-fi version of Zork and while I found the story to my liking, including the endearing sidekick of Floyd, it still suffers from the early flaws of interactive fiction

M.U.L.E. Review
If you like Monopoly in Space with CGA graphics and PC Beeper music, you're in for a treat! Otherwise, it's okay... but might be better off playing Offworld Trading Company instead!
