Director’s Note:
This story came from a wild question I asked myself: What if the hood got hit with a zombie apocalypse. and nobody noticed at first?
That idea spiraled into a short film full of the things I love comedy, horror, family drama, and the unique rhythm of Black neighborhoods.
Black Zombie Movie is a satire, but it’s also a love letter to where I come from and the people who always find a way to survive whether it’s zombies, gentrifiers, or each other.
