It’s difficult for me to understand South Africa’s game plan under Hugo Broos with this 5-3-2.

In preparation games they usually played 4-2-3-1, and at AFCON, in a back five, they used a 5-4-1. So it’s hard to understand this shift away from their usual structure and identity today.

Mofokeng and Appolis are, for me, two of their most dangerous attacking players, but their role today was very limited. Mofokeng didn’t even play. Unless it’s a fitness issue, it’s difficult to understand.
