During #WW2 Chorley packed bombs and bullets for the military. 85 years later #Chorley now packs humanitarian aid and supplies for #Ukraine. Supporters can now clock on using the actual WW2 time recorder used at Royal Ordnance Factory Chorley.

It's been an honour to serve #Adlington as Town Mayor for 2025-26. My Mayoral charitable effort was to raise funds in support of the restoration of St Paul’s War Memorial Tower & Bells. It was a pleasure to announce this morning a total of £5,240.21 🇬🇧

I've been able to acquire another pair of World War Two medals earned by a #Chorley man. Mr Critchley of Brown Street may have worked as a mechanic for the Fleet Air Arm. He earned the Defence Medal & 1939-45 War Medal.

Ive been able to acquire the Memorial Scroll for #Chorley Pal, Pte Pilkington. He died in 1917. The scroll now joins his medals already in my collection. Interestingly, I also have the Memorial Scroll of Pte Proctor, George's next door neighbour.
