@aroundM21@SouthwayHousing Agree Southway bear no responsibility, however these are statements of fact that people should know. This is being presented as a simple good news story when it's more complex than that. Club members don't even know what the club's debt is, as no accounts have been made available
The news raises more questions than it answers. As there is no detail about future proposals, the finances of the club and the deal, and apparently no accountability to the club's members, it would seem premature to say the club is saved just yet. 5/5

Throughout the past two years members have asked for financial transparency and membership involvement. Despite promises made in the Trustees' press releases we've yet to see any commitment to these principles...4/5
UPDATE ON CHORLTON IRISH CLUB:
We understand a sale may be imminent.
We've again written to the Trustees & their solicitors appealing to them to contact the club's members urgently, before any sale. We recall their previous public commitments to consult with the members. 1/2
We've also appealed to the local MP and Chorlton councillors to use any influence they can.
There are options on the table to save the club: at least one bid proposes retaining the building with a smaller car park.
We'll keep you informed of developments as best we can. 2/2
