Looks like the cattle smugglers’ GPS is still not working.
@chirangpolice intercepted 6 vehicles carrying 51 cattle in Chirang and detained 10 persons. Another 52 cattle were recovered in separate operations across Dhubri, Fakirganj, Sapatgram and Salkocha by @Dhubri_Police.
A total of 103 cattle have been saved from the clutches of the cattle mafia.
The mother elephant gently encourages her calf to run over and greet the aunt nearby — a small but heartwarming moment of family connection within the herd. 🐘💗
Tigrino, a 10-year-old wildcat at Bolivia's Senda Verde Wildlife Sanctuary, is one of only two known living representatives of the newly identified Leopardus tilcayo species. He is the only one under permanent human care.
The cat is part of a group called tiger cats found across much of South America. It was found in Bolivia's lush Yungas forest, a mountainous region where forests are often covered by clouds and surrounded by high humidity, according to researchers. It measures about 18 inches (46 cm) long and weighs around 3 pounds (1.4 kg), making it smaller than the average domestic cat.

Elephant has been integral part of the Indian society. They played crucial roles in polity, diplomacy and warfare. It is also deeply rooted in our cultural ethos and religions. Mahouts and kawadis have histories of taking their care. Here is a video from Jaldapara, West Bengal.
When elephants sleep, they reveal a side of their lives that we rarely get to see ! Here, a herd of wild elephants is sleeping peacefully on an island of tall grass in Assam. Elephants can rest and doze while standing, remaining ready to move at the first sign of danger. But lying down is different. It allows the body to relax fully and is associated with deeper, restorative sleep, including REM sleep, the stage linked with dreaming. A landmark study of two free-ranging African elephant matriarchs found that they slept for only about two hours a day. They sometimes remained awake for nearly two days and lay down to sleep only once every three or four nights.
Sleep patterns vary between individuals, ages, species and environments, and much remains to be understood about sleep among wild Asian elephants. But researchers know that elephants are more likely to lie down when they feel comfortable and secure.
That is what makes this sight so beautiful. A herd lying asleep together shows they have allowed their vigilance to trust the landscape around them.

🚨 A Fake Police Station Ran in Bihar for 8 Months.
In 2022, something unbelievable happened in Bihar.
A group of people opened a fake police station and ran it for months.
They wore proper police uniforms, kept registers, and acted like real officers.
Locals believed it was a genuine police station.
They conducted raids, seized vehicles, and then took bribes to release them.
They even collected money from people saying they would settle disputes.
Everything looked official, so no one suspected anything.
The scam finally came to light when a villager informed the real police.
When actual officers arrived, they discovered the entire station was completely fake.
Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
