Drew got 5 up on Al quickly. Al reeled things back to 3 down at the turn and momentum got him 2 down with 2 to go, but dormy was enough for Blue with the point clinched a hole ahead
Kurt went bananas on Krombeen and got to 7 up thru 8. Dave took 2 back, but that was the deepest run. Kurt 5&4.
AK and Randy swapped pts on almost every hole into the turn, Randy up 1. AK made a heavy push to take 4 of the final 6 and a birdie on 18 clinched the cup.
Mitch and Mel traded holes thru the front 9. Mel caught fire winning 3 of the next 4. Mitch won 16, but Mel closed 2&1 on 17.
Tim got up 2 early on Finch thru 4 and held a 1 hole lead thru the turn. Finch made par for a 4 hole stretch and finished things on 18.
Joe and Velde for blue and red made quick work of Coles and Casey in heat 1, 4&3 in each.
Austin held a 3 hole lead against Pat, Pat charged back to get things AS thru 12. Austin won 2 of the next 4 to go 2&1.
Bringing up the caboose, Casey/Finch v Kurt/Al. Both teams fired an Even (36) on the front. Blue took the first meaningful lead, up 2 with 5 to play. The red fellas fought, and found a chip in eagle and another point heading to 17. AS is where the round finished
The Austin’s punched an early lead against Jeff/Velde with 3 birdies in 3 holes. Red took 2 back by the turn (35-38). Red hovered right at 2 down and couldn’t get air. Blue finished 3&2.
Mel/Randy and Mitch/Dave went at it to kick off the scramble. Blue took the first two, dropped 1, and took another to lead thru 7 and into the turn.
An overall front of 38-40.
Red never let blue get ahold of things, keeping the lead to 2 or better on the round and (Red 69-73)
Kurt/Jeff took the first 3 pts against Mitch/Austin thru 6 holes. Mitch/Austin joined the party on the 7th but it was too late. Red closed out on 8 with a par and the point.
The statement round of the weekend was made by Drew/Joe against Al/Velde.. 5 holes were played, 5 holes were won by blue, and then it straight to the grill to warm the hotdogs.
Mel/Pat took the first hole in alt shot from Dave/AK. Blue struck back with 2 straight, but it was a red wave to finish, winning the final 4 holes and no need for the full 9.
