~ The Chozo Language Course! ~
A comprehensive guide to teach you how to speak the Chozo language from Metroid Dread!
Thank you to @mercurysteam for creating this conlang!

@LeonXIII We decided to just have a public PDF file in case of updates, but we don't mind if anyone prints out their own physical version! Totally get wanting to have it in your hands instead of a screen!
@ubedelarosa Doing the course required lots of listening and trying to figure out the phonetics, but since each person heard a sound differently we kind of had to pick and choose the phonetic system (we mostly based it off Spanish)
@ubedelarosa Sorry about the late answer, we’ve been busy with life. Unfortunately we don’t have a transcription of Chozo (there’s lots of info (such as savalva vs. sabalba) that we’ve argued about because there’s no phonetic transcription).
"Ninu sen ulu mura tar hadar, Tamus Arlan. Ninu sen tar ili Mets, darha! Balu ili Mets! Es darha, chek ura sidur duruta bi sarien-talar, darha. Balu ili Mets. Chek ura sidur, Mets."
@king_of_the_ded The team has discussed it before! The main difficulty is that the doc is always subject to change, and then that change would have to go through each translator. Thank you for putting yourself forward though - if we make such a plan, that’s helpful to know!
@ChozoCourse, I just realized there's no word to greet someone. However, the gesture Quiet Robe does. That gesture must have some meaning for Samus to lower her gun and be at ease. Could it be a greeting? Or perhaps something like "I come in peace"? (1/2)
Re-listened to @Shinesparkers podcast with the folks over at @ChozoCourse and the part where they were talking about Duolingo. I couldn't help but whip up Quiet Robe and Raven Beak in the style of the Duolingo bird!

A (smallish) update for Version 1.2, including a new file format (EPUB) and two new fonts. Link is the same, folder is updated!
Thank you everyone for your patience!
'Cuz we need more Chozo #fanart in this #Metroid fandom, here's a motivational piece for your Monday feed (based on the meme)
(Wonder how to say these in the Chozo lingo, @ChozoCourse)?
#MondayMotivation
@king_of_the_ded You would write “Ana man John” and then pronounce John slightly closer to that of a Spanish accent. That’s about it! Thanks for the inquiry!
@ChozoCourse I just found out about the work you're gang has put in and I'm fascinated by everything. Great job. I have a couple questions tho. If I were to write "I am" in chozo lettering (ZDR or Zebes) is it spelled "I am" or is it spelled "Ana man" (that's how it is yeah?) 1/2
(Rages out in Chozo)
Another #Metroid hc I got: whenever Samus gets pissed off, she rants in the Chozo language.
As a bilingual person, I can relate.

@lillithwith3Ls@MetroidTheorist Sadly the markings on Tallon IV lack any meaning. We were hoping that if a potential Prime Remaster came out that they’d be redone, but it seems the artists wanted to stay as faithful to the original designs as possible with this game!
