We need to slash back the size of the state, urgently - it is too big, too powerful, too far-reaching.

I always thought it was a mess, but since being elected an MP? Far, far worse than any of us realise. Never underestimate the damage a do-gooding arrogant bureaucrat can inflict on productive Britain.

There is an army of these people now, building their own little empires in councils, quangos, hospitals and public sector institutions all across the country. Entirely untouchable, accountable to nobody. Constructing this self-sustaining industry, which contributes nothing, but obstructs everything.

Anyone who has dealt with the state, or those decent people working within it, will know exactly the type of individual I am referring to…

Cosy work environments, zero accountability, great pensions, job security, no targets. The out of office reply in regular use...

It’s a scam. These bureaucrats have embedded themselves into the system, building it so that their own little role seems irreplaceable. An overly complicated form for this, diversity training for that - who can solve it? The do-gooding bureaucrat.

So wonderfully encapsulated by the thousands of diversity officers now roaming the corridors of hospitals, departments and local councils - searching for racial wrongs to right.

We need to root these people out. They wouldn’t last a fortnight in the private sector, but are protected in their own cosy little bubble. All funded by the men and women doing actual work.

The bureaucratic monster state must be challenged.

I detest how these freeloaders are gliding through life on the back of productive Britain. Brutal cuts are required to the management class.

British business is being governed by people who have never properly worked in business, don't understand business and quite frankly don't like business.

Putting a tax on employment will punish both the employer and employee, not forgetting the wider economic impact of these hikes. Businesses will draw back, withhold investment and quite simply NOT spend.

Pay rises won't happen, projects won't go ahead, contracts won't be signed, risks won't be taken.

What happens then? The whole economy suffers.

It's so painfully obvious - how can our 'leaders' not see this?

The ONLY way to generate sustainable economic growth is to return power to the individual with actual skin in the game. Who knows how better to spend their money in order to make their operation a success? The man/woman who has poured their life into building this business, or some jumped-up bureaucrat in Whitehall?

What should be happening, is drastic tax cuts across the board. On corporation tax, dividends, income tax and more. Hike the thresholds, not the tax I say.

And you know what? In the medium to long term, that would actually result in more tax revenue being brought in - alongside a vibrant and prosperous economy filled with motivated men and women.

Yet here we are....

We have a Government who seem to believe that taxing employment will result in economic success.

Socialist central planning ALWAYS fails.

In an interview with Fox News, Finnish President Alexander Stubb @alexstubb named four conditions of peace for Ukraine:

1️⃣ Territory. All territories along the 1991 border should be returned to Ukraine.

This aspect is fundamental, as the territorial integrity of any state is the basis of international law. If this norm is ignored, the precedent of border violations may become a dangerous signal for other states and dictators seeking expansion.

2️⃣ Security guarantees. Ukraine should be accepted into NATO or receive similar specific security guarantees.

This move is highly controversial in the international arena, as many countries fear an escalation of conflict with Russia, as well as nuclear war. However, the absence of such guarantees will leave not only Ukraine vulnerable but also other countries that neighbor a large non-democratic state.

3️⃣ Punishment. Those responsible for the "SMO" must be punished. And not only the master of the Kremlin but also all who were involved.

This condition is important not only for justice but also as a preventive measure. If the aggressors are not punished, other states may perceive this as a signal of impunity, which will only increase the likelihood of new conflicts.

4️⃣ Compensation for damages. Full compensation for material and other losses.

Ukraine's reconstruction is also important for Europe, as stability in this region directly affects the security and economy of the entire continent.

President Stubb's key message is that the proposed measures should not be seen solely as support for Ukraine. This is a matter of global security and long-term stability. An effective investment in future tranquility.

If the problem is not solved now, the global community will have to face the consequences of aggression again in the very near future. Appeasement of aggressors in the past has only led to new and larger conflicts.

The current geopolitical situation requires painful solutions that will have long-term results. Ignoring problems in the short term can lead to much worse consequences in the future.
