Proud father of two. Spent 12 years in the army until I was made redundant under the Tory and Lib Dem cuts to the military. Vote NIP on the 23rd of June.
I've been out supporting the strikes. Workers across Wakefield are standing together, and unlike Labour I stand with them ✊
As a show of solidarity, all our on-the-ground campaigning in Wakefield has been suspended today so I and our members can support the picket lines 🟨🟥
My time in the British Army taught me that when you see a problem, you solve a problem. That's why I'm standing in Wakefield with real solutions to the cost of living crisis.

I'm honoured to have the endorsement of Ian Hodson, National President of the BFAWU. Ian has tirelessly stood up for workers for years, and I'm proud to have his support.
The cost of living is hitting everyone hard. Wakefield needs someone to stand up for working people and the unions that represent them. Christopher Jones of the Northern Independence Party stands firm with workers. That's why I endorse Chris for the Wakefield by-election
The cost of living is soaring 📈
Labour want to tinker with taxes 💤
Christopher Jones has a real answer: we need to Nationalise Energy Companies 💯
This Thursday, vote to stop the price gouging. Vote Northern Independence Party 🟨🟥
What does Labour stand for? 🌹
Your guess is as good as ours 🤔
Christopher Jones stands up for our workers, immigrants, and services ✊
This Thursday, stand with Chris. Vote Northern Independence Party 🟨🟥
From rail to buses to the post, Wakefield's workers are striking to stop the decline 🛑
While others waver, our candidate Chris Jones stands firm with them ✊
On 23rd June, stand firm with Wakefield's Workers:
Vote Christopher Jones 🗳️
Vote Northern Independence Party 🟨🟥
Sad to hear Wakefield cathedral has been forced to cancel their hustings due to threats from excluded candidates.
While I was not given a spot, I appreciate that it's something that should be earned, not demanded. It's a shame other candidates can't respect that.
As your MP I will ensure everyone in Wakefield has weekly bin collections by properly funding these services.
I’ll also come down hard on companies that dump their waste illegally, to keep our public spaces tidy and enjoyable for everyone.
One of the problems we repeatedly hear about on the doorstep is waste collection and fly tipping. There are people in the city waiting months for collections, and areas like Waterton Park where fly tipping is out of control and has been going on for years.
Sanitation services are the most basic function of any government and are vital to public health and the protection of our environment.
It’s frankly shameful that in 2022 these basic needs aren’t being met in Wakefield.
Labour’s candidate, Simon Lightwood, has now had two days to declare his support for the bus drivers striking for a fair pay rise in West Yorkshire.
We've heard nothing from him.
Wakefield deserves a new direction. We need an MP that will stand up for the interests of our people, fight to bring investment back into our communities, and propose real solutions to the cost of living crisis.
