Flowering Rush and Water Crowfoot in our small wildlife pond this afternoon. We’ve newts, frogs, dragonflies, birds and a solitary hornet all use the pond - sitting there, watching, is much better than tv😁

Having failed to see any there last year, it's good to see White-letter Hairstreak at Stonepit Heath again. This place really should be a designated Butterfly Reserve, but it's not even a SSSI.

PA and PB have been making the most of their first week since fledging, exploring their surroundings and growing in confidence. They're now taking to the skies more often, putting on fantastic aerial displays as they learn from their parents.

This remarkable encounter highlights the Red Kite’s opportunistic behaviour, swooping in to steal prey directly from the Barn Owl’s talons mid-flight.

The two Norwich Peregrine Falcon chicks are almost ready to fledge!
They hatched on 5th May and over the past 6 weeks they have grown in front of our eyes.
Any day now they will take their first flight! Stay tuned for more updates.
