Why not? The US military has an advanced munitions problem. These are complicated weapons that require a long supply chain to build. It usually takes years to set up production lines and the money has been invested into munitions procurement at acceptable rates for decades.

Then enter the clown that got us into a war that would put heavy pressure on the exact inventory under the most pressure.

Bombs? We might as well have an unlimited number of most types. Advanced interceptors and attack munitions? Our inventory is critically low.

Yeah…but that is a broad definition. If you read the study only 5.6% have true food insecurity. That number dropped 11% from last year.
