I was really excited about a new Senran Kagura game, but it turns out the latest one, Shinobi Nexus, is just another mobile gacha title.

Honestly, with everything going on in the industry right now, it feels like it’s going to be tough for the series to make a proper return to consoles because of censorship and similar issues.

That said, there’s still some hope. A recent article from Noisy Pixel mentioned that Marvelous said Honey Parade Games (the studio behind the Senran Kagura series) could potentially return to console development.

@nichegamer Tencent wasn't censoring the game. It was Sony. Even Kenichiro said that. Notice how the company has been running both Senran Kagura New Link and Dolphin Wave without problem or censorship? The only thing they have in common is it's not on console.
