Chicago is the greatest American city.
New York is the greatest city in the world, but it belongs to the world. It’s a world city.
Chicago belongs to America.
Hey, Gary West Side. Quit stalling and rename new track and new turf field after legendary coaches Willie Williams (track) and Gene Johnson (football). Williams set world record in 100 meters with a 10.1 in 1956 and Johnson was school’s first head FB coach (1994 to 2008).
"My take on the Jameis Winston experience is that I am called to be the light of the world and salt of Earth."

@JohnLovesPets Don't get mad at the media for running with a narrative when you're unwilling to set the narrative straight.
This looks like he won't say because it wasn't actually that bad.
A former Chicago Public Schools security guard has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting two teenage students at her home, including one she invited over under the pretense of needing help caring for her dying husband.

recalling the time Metallica donated their music to Netflix’s current fav true crime revisionist documentarian Joe Berlinger in a bid to release three convicted child murderers from prison because they assumed they were locked up for wearing black t-shirts
By the way thinking that an artist shouldn’t be able to perform at a theatre or comedy club because you don’t agree with their opinions, or jokes, or lifestyle, or past flaws, or political ideology’s is a form of authoritarianism. Which is a lot closer to fascism than you put on others.
Neil Young says Tom Cruise's "Digger" is "the best film I have ever seen."
"None of the reviews I have read describe this film adequately, in my opinion," Young wrote. "They seem to miss the overall effect and most of them are negative. This film lives in a world of art. It is its own best review. Don't read any other reviews and forget this one before you see 'Digger.' It cannot be seen as a Tom Cruise film - that would be misleading. I would describe it as a film of our times... I do not view this film as a commercial venture. Rather it is an artful film of our times. The things that are said in 'Digger' are a direct reflection of today's political and social world. The film is so full of artful expression and radical change ups, that it may be too much to take in for those expecting a commercial film like we are used to today."

Josh Jacobs is now suing the Hobart Police Department in Wisconsin to prevent footage being released of his domestic battery incident, per @WBAY.
A pretty bad look for the Packers’ star running back, who remains sidelined indefinitely during this process.
DEMOLISHED!
"Midcentury West Town Church Likely To Be Demolished, Replaced With 6 Single-Family Homes "A developer has applied for a permit to tear down the former Santa Maria Addolorata church, built in 1960. Neighbors have advocated for the building to be saved." Former Santa Maria Addolorata Church, 1960, Joseph Bagnuolo, 1315 W. Ohio Street. Photo credit:

Christie's International Real Estate There is strong community opposition to the demolition of Santa Maria Addolorata Church. It is a beautiful and artful midcentury religious building that should be sold to another religious congregation or community organization.
There are many other sites that should be used for new residential units, and preferably higher density residential units than single family homes. Many letters of opposition to demolition and support for Chicago Landmark Designation have been sent to 1st Ward Alderman Daniel La Spata’s office.
Letters of support for Chicago Landmark Designation were submitted by Eckhart Park Neighbors, East Village Association, and Preservation Chicago, along with many letters from individual Noble Square community members.
The former Santa Maria Addolorata Catholic Church at 1315 W. Ohio—Ohio and Ada Streets (the front entry to the church actually fronts on Ada Street) is a strong candidate for Chicago Landmark Designation.
There is urgency in the rapid response advocacy action, as the church has no protections against demolition. Despite its extraordinary architecture, it was built in 1996 too young to be listed in the Chicago Historic Resources Survey (CHRS) that was released in the 1990s. Santa Maria Addolorata is not orange-rated and therefore is not subject to the 90 Day Demolition Delay Hold which places the former church building in immediate danger.
