I myself haven't seen anyone writing about this... but being at the games this past week, #Blackhawks player's body language been awful. They aren't responding to what the coaching staff is saying. Bedard looks like a guy whose never been coached. He can't wait to go home.
This #Blackhawks organization is mired in losing culture by choice. This summer is the opportunity to pivot. Management chose to dumb the rebuild down to a depth that gave Kyle ample runway, the least accountability. He's proven nothing yet. It's now time. Danny on the clock.
This is young team and losing sucks. That said being so young there should be some enthusiasm even at the end of a season. The veterans look lifeless as well and this last stretch shows Blashill's message of finishing strong didn't home. Kyle, losing is contagious, this group needs a reboot.
@Switchblade97 Dave works so hard to discredit Brian's opinion, but in the end, Dave throws in the "anything can happen" line to protect himself. Which is Dave's m.o. now. But everyone but Dave, and the people who subscribe and align their opinions with him, are the ones who are 'deranged'.
@DaBearzzzz They gave up on Korch a long time ago. If they knew how, you'd have seen it by now. Davidson made a great deal getting a 1st in the Dickinson deal. It flipped the whole market. Screwed it all.
And good on Kyle. But all signs indicate this will be a never-ending rebuild.
@AlCimaglia since the beginning of December.. Nazar missed a month from before x-mas to mid January. So, in the games he's played since the start of December, Nazar has 2 goals, 6 helpers and the Blackhawks are 5-13-1-3 in those games.
@MeltzerSaidWhat Imagine being in wrestling and having an off the record conversation with Dave these days... With all these stream of consciousness podcasts he does, he's virtually incapable of keeping anything to himself if it gets in the way of proving how smart he is.
@ByScottPowers Though the real issue is awareness/decision making, it's a bad idea to be specific & put this kid under a microscope. Blashill could've just said Lev hit a wall & they're giving him a break. I don't take issue with a coach being vague with media. As long as he's honest w/players.
@AlCimaglia@MrButtermaker Was that the question, Al? Hjalmarsson was a great development, but not a player with the raw talent to build around at the level of Levshunov. Hammer was a complimentary dman on a great team. Today's Hawks need a couple of those too.
@MrButtermaker@AlCimaglia That's a great question. Byfuglien would be one. I remember the 1st time I saw him in Norfolk, I didn't take Buff seriously, but thought 'this could really be something if...' Keith needed a lot of work at first. Trent Yawney and work ethic overcame that. Levshunov needs a coach.
