There are games in which things click and today was one of them.
Up against the second best team in the country in the JPL, the girls were structured and frustrated our opponents who were very complimentary in how we played and frustrated them.
Even in defeat, im very proud.
FULL TIME
Luton Town Ladies U16s JPL 3
Stevenage 3
Goals from Amelie, Isla and Lauren
POTM went to Lauren for her hard work throughout.
A good first outing for us in the JPL without any subs and sometimes going down to 10 as players off with cramp.
I asked her how she thought she done & she said “well, I don’t think I played that well so I can’t wait to come back & actually show him what I can really do”.
Great feedback tonight from a trialist:
Maisie was all smiles after you left, said she really enjoyed the training & said you were the kind of coach she would definitely get along with!
Heard this elsewhere but ive twisted it for coaching.
There are 2 types of coach.
One that affects players.
And
One that infects players.
Dont be the poison as the reason why young players hate and give up the game.
Which one are you?
Great feedback tonight from ex-academy player who was losing the love for the game.
She now trains with us and loves the environment and is back in love with the game.
I believe in creating the best environment to get the best development out of any player I coach.
Do you know of a girl eligible to play at u16s level this upcoming season?
Have they had experience of playing football at a good level?
Do they want to try playing in the JPL?
Do they enjoy being coached in a positive environment?
If the answers are yes, please get in touch.
