@EricDLombardi @Dronetakeoff0 Not start an argument, but the differential the US pays for Canadian crude has to do with the lower cost of transportation to US refiners (close proximity). Also, heavy Canadian crude cannot flow on pipelines without diluent Canadian producers import from the US.

That journey door-to-door is around 7.5 miles. In Houston, I drive 14 miles (to downtown) and it takes me around 30 minutes in morning traffic.
