🌳 “In South Africa and in Africa, trees are not just there to combat climate change. Trees are not just there to ensure that our water doesn't run off and that we don't have soil erosion. Trees are not just there to provide oxygen. Trees are our heritage,” said MEC Ewan Botha, offering a message of support at the #OneBillionTrees Programme Launch held at the Pretoria National Botanical Garden. 🌱
MEC Botha highlighted the important role trees play in preserving culture, protecting the environment, and securing a sustainable future for generations to come. The programme continues to inspire collective action towards restoring ecosystems and building a greener South Africa.
