@nelson_rosen Agree! Forget the brainless one size fits all protocols, talk to the patient and family, talk the anesthesiologist, prepare the team, work as a team and be preemptive: "I'll do a block, ok?; hey, you can give a NSAID at start of case", etc... Question: Exparel in kids???

Dont let it hapen! Did you know magnetic toys could be dangerous? I have operated on children who swallowed magnets and suffered from holes in the intestine when the magnets pinched and crushed internal tissue. Magnets are fun, but supervision is needed. https://t.co/1ZcNmLN9T7

@Skepticscalpel Would need several beers to tell you what I think! residency is hurting from quantity of experiences; more so from failure to allow independent action and responsibility. Geisinger residency includes tertiary and rural, opened new med school. Policy lags 20yrs behind need.
