@OzKitsch We are happy little Vegemites as bright as bright can be,
We all enjoy our Vegemite for breakfast lunch and tea,
Our mummy's say we're growing stronger every single week,
Because we love our Vegemite, we all adore our Vegemite,
It puts a rose in every cheek!
I never understood how researchers can sit on their PhD papers for so many years and never publish them. Then I got a job. And now I am sitting on some of my PhD papers. Isn't it ironic, don't you think? #AcademicTwitter#phdchat
Hey Twitter peeps, my paper looking at the Permo-Triassic stratigraphy of the Galilee Basin has just been published. I'm pretty proud of it. You should check it out! #australianseds#geology#australia#geochronology https://t.co/O7epGxfLpO
@sediAus Thanks @sediAus! Wish I could take credit for the name but that was my advisors. I did design the logo, though! And we have a paper in review called "Chasing the Lost World" too.
After all this time, its finally #PhDone! All the experiences and friends I've made along the way have all be worth it. Now on to new and exciting things!
It's finally dawned on me that my annual pilgrimages to my field area are at an end. I won't miss 40 degree temps and steep access tracks, but I will miss these views and these rocks #australianseds#PorcupineGorge#phdchat
Almost 3 years ago we went marine reptile fossil hunting in Jurassic strata of Geraldton. Alas, no luck, but plenty of flies to eat π #australianseds#westernaustralia#paleontology
In my procrastination phase, I have set up a shelf of geological memories from field trips I've taken. Always good to reminisce good trips! #australianseds#phdchat#geology
Got to spend time with extended fam on the weekend, so feeling thankful for all the things. So here's another pic of my fieldwork spots, this time Carnarvon George, Central QLD. Strong Jurassic Park vibes; fitting because it's mostly Jurassic fluvial sandstones! #australianseds
My field area: Porcupine Gorge, QLD. Famous for its Pyramid Rock (pic), this feature shows off a cross-section that looks downstream through a Jurassic braided fluvial succession. I always love coming back here for this view.

@kirstywurst @786999T I think you've tagged me by mistake here. I am but a humble geologist from Australia, not associated with health care of any form.
@AmyRemeikis My uni was built on the concept of brutalist architecture for its buildings. Concrete bunkers with few or no windows are ideal for not being able to tell how long your lecture has been going by tracking the sun through the sky...
