Nursery's are great at allowing parents to feel part of their child's journey through various apps that share milestones. Why don't schools do this?
We didn't think that was good enough. So we built a data system that does.
Off the shelf solutions are not the only solution!
With the release of VIEW on iOS and Android, we now have a complete suite of custom software to support our unique stage not age curriculum. Please DM if you are interested in seeing how stage not age and VIEW could work for you in AP, Special schools, PRUs or primary
Our new stage not age outdoor education curriculum is the latest addition to View - students will be able to complete their digital sticker books as they progress - parents and carers will be able to see their achievements as they happen. Exciting times #stagenotage
Collecting student data can be fun! At our primary and secondary sites students accumulate their learning journey in bespoke sticker albums that are specific to their starting points. All learning is coherent and sequenced so students can be taught in a ‘Stage not Age’ format!
Stacking and sequencing curriculum ‘success indicators’ was the basis of how we developed a stage not age curriculum. Unable to find a data system that could meet our needs, we made one. VIEW has enabled our students to love their data and in turn, look after it. #innovation
VIEW our school to parent communication app goes live in the next few weeks. VIEW, our bespoke data system has revolutionised student engagement in their own curriculum progress data. Live updates from the classroom to parent mobile phones seemed like a no brainer! #solutions
“VIEW” our new, live progress app for parents and carers launches when we return from the Christmas break. This is such an exciting step in the development and implementation of our innovative stage not age curriculum.
Back to school next week and really looking forward to engaging our parents with live data, reports
and comments straight from the classroom. Our data system requires a single click of a success indicator and generates a stunning amount of meaningful data. #education#inclusion
What makes a really good data system? We believe it’s one that students and parents engage with on a daily basis. VIEW allows us to provide live curriculum data from our ‘Stage not Age’ curriculum. As a result, student progress and engagement has improved exponentially.
Exciting meeting this afternoon with @neilwells78 about stage not age curriculums, mastery tracking and assessment and the impressive work he is involved in. Looking to forward to a visit. #ThisIsAP
@RogersHistory Completely pointless if a child in a certain year doesn’t make required progress. It’s an outdated and archaic model that leaves children who aren’t academically strong behind. We have been using a ‘stage not age’ model for 4 years at my school. It’s revolutionised progress.
@sammilighthead We use an application called VIEW to communicate progress with parents on a daily basis. We stopped parents evenings completely because parents have the information they need. It’s become culture and it’s hugely improved progress.
It would be really helpful for parents of primary and secondary age students to have access to live updates from schools about what their children have mastered or progressed in…
Improving cultural capital shouldn’t just be a teachers role. Get parents involved and schools have a ‘three legged stool’ they can be proud of. If data is boring, then it’s underused. Make it fun and people will engage!
Early years institutions use various applications to provide parents with excellent progress data. Why didn’t we follow suit as primary and secondary school institutions? Answer?…it doesn’t exist. We thought that was unacceptable…so we built one.
@neilwells78 @WhyableTech Nurseries and pre schools have some of the best software available to track and monitor children’s progress. Nothing exists in the primary and secondary school arena like this. Instant progress data that is bespoke, informative and allows parents to ask the right questions!
Want a school data system that is genuinely useful to teachers, students and parents? We couldn’t find one so we built one ourselves. VIEW provides live data tracking and provides instant progress feedback. Data is only interesting if it’s relevant! #education#innovation#data
Educating students in line with their chronological age is nonsense. Build a curriculum that is coherent, sequenced and focused on the individual and you have Stage not Age. School data has never been more interesting! #education#curriculum#innovation#CommonSense#data
VIEW allows us to implement our innovative #stagenotage curriculum providing live data for school staff, students, parents and carers. Data for each individual student shows exactly what they have progressed in, mastered and how well they are doing in relation to their targets
