Weighing a run for governor, Bronx Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) distanced himself from past left-leaning positions Tuesday — telling The Post the border crisis had changed his view on immigration policy. https://t.co/Q8cJSev85G
Blake always seemed to think he was destined for more than Albany, where he served for three terms. Now he’s running for mayor, and eyeing DNC chair at the same time.

Alexandria Center for Life Science leaders sent City Hall a blistering letter Thursday — exclusively obtained by The Post — calling for @NYCMayor and city officials to fulfill their years-old promise to relocate the troubled Bellevue Men’s Shelter.

.@RitchieTorres appeared on CNN with @jaketapper to talk about what he sees failed leadership in the Empire State. When asked if he was planning to primary @GovKathyHochul, Torres said he has made “no final decision” but is “open to running for governor.”
Kathy Hochul is the new Joe Biden.
She may be in denial about the depth of her vulnerabilities as a Democratic nominee. A Democratic incumbent who is less popular in New York than Donald Trump is in grave danger of losing to a Republican in 2026–an outcome not seen in 30 years.
Waiting until it’s too late gave us a Republican President in 2024 and could give us a Republican Governor in 2026.

With the drought warning in place, we'll take any amount of rain, but please remember to be SAFE during these periods of inclement weather and clear your catch basins as leaves and other debris may have accumulated over time.

Local news needs to reach voters where they are – Facebook local groups, Next Door, Reddit, Tik Tok, text messaging, WhatsApp. I mean actually embed ourselves, have our workflow and output be informed by and report to people where they ingest information. https://t.co/0c6r4khECs
It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them.
While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change.
And they’re right.
Post election, @RitchieTorres ramps up his war of words with progressives blaming them for shrinking the Democratic base. Torres was once a progressive darling, who quit the Congressional Progressive Caucus in February over his full-throated support for Israel.
Donald Trump has no greater friend than the far left, which has managed to alienate historic numbers of Latinos, Blacks, Asians, and Jews from the Democratic Party with absurdities like “Defund the Police” or “From the River to the Sea” or “Latinx.”
There is more to lose than there is to gain politically from pandering to a far left that is more representative of Twitter, Twitch, and TikTok than it is of the real world. The working class is not buying the ivory-towered nonsense that the far left is selling.
.@NYCMayor's 2025 Democratic primary competitors continue to show fundraising strength as Hizzoner’s mayoralty has been engulfed by a historic indictment and numerous other federal probes over the past month.
