I guess for ethanol these ppl should ideally reach a middle ground, and give option for diff per cent from low to high and then give a cut off date off 4 - 5 years in the future or some time line to maybe ease the populace and make it a smooth transition. For those cars who have no option for petrol, but whose emissions eco certification is good give them option for petrol (anyways you are taking good chunk of taxes).

Not everybody like being forced to upgrade to latest models of cars, or forced in general.

Still, how can any opposition claim legitimacy for issues? obv if the issue is genuine one, and the pressure in many segments have been dialed upto an hundred. Plus instead of solving the grievance with proper redressal, there is just some news, some talk, then some token action, no further following systematic studies or fixes. Just rinse and repeat forever in a cycle.
