@Toon_Dreessen I have heard similar, from multiple people and found it almost a primal instinct to deny reality in the face of a wider realization of what is happening around us.
@erikmagraken Interestingly a similar phenomena was observed coming out of the bare-knuckle boxing era, when gloves began to be used. The sport actually became MORE dangerous. The protection of the hands led to reduced risk to the boxer throwing punches, and a false sense that hits were safer.

@mattgurney Literally no one pays a political price today for the most egregious corruption and self-dealing. Not at the municipal, provincial or Federal level. Re-elected so long as you maintain your partisan base.

@readroy I agree, it’s a great starting point but also needs the right input. What it doesn’t produce is originality or any personality or distinctive voice. It will never replace great human writing, but will be one more tool in the box
