Ukraine has invalidated Russia's whole strategy since the Napoleonic wars.
Russia's giant size is no longer strategic depth, but an enormous weakness.
Russia can only defend a few spots.
The best sign of a growing internal crisis inside Russia are all these oligarchs and prominent think tankers and Russia apologists using elite outlets to say the same thing:
Please be nice to Russia or it might take terrible actions!
Progressively, the Kremlin's primary narrative will be that Putin must be protected from Ukraine. Already, the Kremlin is allocating enormous efforts in western media toward "only a stable Russia is good for the world".
Wagner's remnants built an opioid empire in the Central African Republic
Up to 500 members of the Russian mercenary group control the tramadol trade along the Oubangui River — a fief beyond the reach of law enforcement or even Moscow, the Wall Street Journal reports. Led by Pavel Prigozhin, son of the group's late founder, the remnants tax smugglers, supply the presidential guard and militias with pills, and earn an estimated $180 million a year from illicit gold on top. The cash buys weapons — and researchers warn the group is now entering Sudan's Darfur.

KELLOGG: Putin just wants power. He's lost 1.2 to 1.4 million soldiers. Numbers are astronomical. We as Americans would never accept that. He's doing this for power and to occupy all of Ukraine. But he can't, and he's not winning. I think he's worried about his own survival now.
Couldn’t agree with this more. Passing Senator Graham’s Russian sanctions bill would be a fitting tribute to his long and clear support for Ukraine and his principled stance against Vladimir Putin
russia has sentenced four Ukrainian Marine commanders to life in prison for defending Mariupol.
Hero of Ukraine Volodymyr Baranyuk, Dmytro Karmyankov, Vitalii Yaroshenko, and Mykola Biriukov were tortured, forced into false "confessions," and convicted in a secret sham trial.
Their only crime was refusing to surrender.
This isn't justice. It's revenge.
russia is sentencing Ukraine's heroes to life for resisting an invasion while the real war criminals sit safely in the Kremlin.
The world must not stay silent.
Kuleba: In a month, Ukraine may need yearly USA interceptors production.
If Russia launches one massive attack every week, that’s 140 times 4 equals 560 a month. USA produces 600 a year.
The Russian tradition is dictatorship, the murder of political opponents and bullying neighbors. Yes we have our problems that we shouldn’t ignore, but millions are trying to move to America and not to Russia.
Meanwhile in Russia: Olga Skabeeva didn't hide her frustration when State Duma member Oleg Morozov couldn't offer any new ideas on how to defeat Ukraine and disclosed being reprimanded backstage about using the word "war" to describe Russia's invasion.

Ukraine has not shot down any Russian ballistic missiles for nine days—due to a critical shortage of Patriot system ammunition.
The last confirmed interception was on July 2.
In four years, Europe has failed to resolve the Patriot shortage. That is a bitter reality.
Yet, Europe could easily have helped using its own systems:
IRIS-T SLM (Germany) – combat-proven; effective against aircraft, drones, and cruise missiles.
NASAMS (Norway/USA) – a proven, flexible system; successfully deployed in Ukraine.
SAMP/T (France/Italy) – the European counterpart to the Patriot; also capable of intercepting short-range ballistic missiles.
Sky Sabre/CAMM (UK) – a modern medium-range air defense system; effective against aircraft, drones, and cruise missiles.
Europe failed to do what it could have done: massively ramp up domestic production, replenish stockpiles, and ensure rapid delivery. Instead of reducing reliance on US ammunition, there was too much talk and too little delivery.
Russia strikes Kharkiv every single day.
I rarely write about it anymore. Not many people seem to care, and the news outlets never mention it. Posting about it feels like screaming into a void. If Russia can kill 30 people in a capital city full of journalists without any global outrage, who is going to care about a destroyed gas station and a single life lost in Kharkiv?
Yet, they keep launching all kinds of drones and missiles at us. They strike Kharkiv several times a day, destroying our homes, injuring our people, and often killing them. I just wanted you to know.
The photo below is from today. 8 people were injured in this strike.
