@DavidBanicaRO Van Sciver's Hypo is also excellent. Jacques Tardi war comics are really well drawn. And this St. Joan of Arc children's book isn't a comic but has amazing illustrations.

@owenbroadcast There's an awesome history of this in comics strips for some reason. I guess that's what happens when you have artists staring into imaginary worlds all day. My favorite is this one from 1930. There's also a Ditko short story about it.

@MorlockP @RdHdSteppeson @kendrictonn I think this Kinkade debate actually has a lot of crossover with the debate around AI art. People I've met who like Kinkade tend to like AI art. Or even can't tell what is/isn't AI. It's all first impression/vibe for them.
