Believe it or not, the majority of this album was constructed out of the tiniest of samples taken from a recording of Beethoven's Piano Sonata no. 8, opus 13, 2nd movement, performed by a friend Sarah Stone. Thank you Sarah https://t.co/e9mHfDAmtE
New album of deconstructed & reconstructed piano music released today! Kinda glitchy with a touch of Steve Reich in places (@ChrisJ_Robinson): https://t.co/e9mHfDAmtE
@diannahaze Yep. Much the same here. Before my 1st big crash my baseline was about 5000 steps. That one took a few mths to get back to 4500. After my 2nd major crash it took 11 mths to make it back to 4000. Doing everything I can this time not to push too far

A compilation of #ambient, #drone, & #fieldrecordings, mixed into a 60+ minute soundtrack. Commissioned to accompany an #artistsbook: Wandering & Wondering in a Wood by Catherine Sergeant. (@ChrisJ_Robinson): https://t.co/MQMWK99eK8
@billorcutt@shaneparrish Gorgeous. Proof, if proof be needed, that good music is good music regardless of genre or instrumentation. Takes me back to my rave days & my folk days whilst remaining thoroughly contemporary.
This is one of the most revelatory and inspiring things I've heard recently - a reverse engineered version of Suzanne Vega's song 'Tom's Diner,' revealing all the sounds stripped out when encoded to an MP3.
