@PolitlcsUK You should also be asking the age of your respondents. I know what I think, and how old I am, and I’d be interested to know how widespread my opinions are.
@realjackneil@Jack_Frodo That seems like a good idea, but you haven’t thought it through. Most birds encountered by aircraft are seagulls and the like; they’ve probably never seen a cat, an won’t be scared off.
@RealBlackIrish The two people I know who live in new developments are in WhatsApp groups with their neighbours. This also applies to the little close where I live, although in our case it’s because we’re jointly responsible for maintaining the curtelage(?) Lots of friendly interaction in all.
@ToasterRich@functi0nZer0 A long time ago my wife went to buy a TV licence at the post office.
The man asked “black and white or colour?”
She answered “Ooh, what colours have you got?”
@Seancockram Why are you picking on EVs? This argument can be directed at replacing anything old which is still reliable. Like it or not, economies rely on people buying stuff.
@bagshaw2112@SwarfegaUK Costco still sell the orange 5 litre pumps. It’s not as thick as the green stuff and the smell is nowhere near as good. Works ok though.
@CitizenUddin Have you still got some independent bike shops in Ealing? Cycle helmets are rigid so you have to find one that’s the right shape, as well as the right size. And when you find one that fits properly, buy it; don’t just fuck off and look for a cheaper price online.
@gazza_d @itsjuststrobe That’s up to 10% of their turnover; how much net profit do you imagine a small business like these makes?
And remember they are ratepayers too.
I’m usually happy to agree with you, but there are two sides to this story.
@CitizenUddin If I was turning into that side road I’d stop for them. But I’d be reluctant to stop for anyone on the other side of the road as I have no control over what might happen when another car. turns into the side road. I don’t want to be part of an ‘accident’, even if its not my fault
