@toryboypierce You always need to check this Government’s wording carefully - “must not” vs “should not”, “substantial” meal vs “table” meal, etc. The police implementing the Government’s preferences is a Police State, the police implementing the actual legislation is a democracy.
@thequentinletts@DailyMail His columns in the Sunday Times and Spectator were the first I turned to every Sunday and Thursday. As Victoria Newton says “A terrific observer of the frailties of our political class”. And not afraid to point it out.
@BBCBreakfast Didn’t you think for even one second that some viewers might be interested in Bridget Phillipson’s announcement. This interview was just dire.
@clim8resistance Well someone’s got to protect those US mining companies digging for those mythical Rare Earth minerals. I hope Trump isn’t expecting European forces to do that.
@tomhfh In Paris the Metro from Charles de Gaulle Airport uses the same trains and has the same station platform gates as the new Elizabeth Line in London. Their trains are driverless.
@GrumpyOldRick Which bits are you short of? I’ve got quite a few separate bits in my loft. Got a nice dual cassette deck so you can copy your cassettes. With a CrO2 switch.
@AlexTaylorNews Just think, if only they’d done this 20 years ago, we would still be able to use our old Nokia chargers, and to hell with all that new smartphone rubbish. As they say, the US innovates, Asia replicates and the EU regulates.
@MissLauraMarcus@AnthonyPWhiting@SpecCoffeeHouse@spectator@michaelgove Cancel if you wish, but pause a moment. The Spectator often publishes articles designed to make its mainly conservative readership stop and think. And a Gove quote from today - “If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.”
@delmeparfitt Government interference meant the TV packages had to broken up. So now you need subscriptions to SKY, BT/TNT, Amazon Prime and - the final straw - now Premier to watch the European cup matches. Can we just have a “Rugby Channel”? Also the new European format is terrible.
