Theology is a razor’s edge, with life and death on either side. The @Ligonier 2026 State of Theology UK survey shows many across the UK, in church and out, unsure what they believe about God and salvation. The need is great, and so is the opportunity.

"We as Christians are called to protect and defend the precious treasure secured for us in Christ, which comes from the empty grave of our resurrected Lord. Here is the living and eternal treasure of the good deposit."

“Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. To draw near to listen is better than to offer the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they are doing evil.”

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us to pray for God’s name to be honored, for God’s church to flourish, for God’s commands to be obeyed, and for God’s providence to be respected. —@DavidTIrving https://t.co/ogveZyqXyx

Enemies are real.

But Christians know that God can turn enemies into His friends. Otherwise there would be no Christians.

“(Luther) had a profound existential experience where the burden of his unresolved guilt rolled off his back, and he realized that the only way he could stand before a just and holy God was to be cloaked in the righteousness of Christ, which Luther couldn’t beg, borrow, steal, deserve, or earn, but could only humbly receive.”

Institutions drift. The ones that stay faithful have people who remember why they were founded and are willing to say so out loud.

On @RYMRadio, Dr. Keith Mathison and I discussed the controversies of the 1990s and why they still matter to the church today. Keith recalled that Dr. Sproul did not want @RefBibleCollege to continue if it ever departed from Scripture. @Ligonier lives under the same conviction.

That is a demanding thing to build into an institution, and I thank God for colleagues like Keith who still hold to it.

In 1868, before the start of the First Vatican Council, Pope Pius IX extended an invitation to Protestants to join in the council. The Presbyterian Church, having received the invitation, asked Charles Hodge to write a letter to the pope replying to his invitation.

When Martin Luther said Christians are “at the same time just and sinners,” he wasn’t being logically incoherent.

@RCSproul explains how this statement from Luther represents the beauty of our salvation in Christ.

Not much has changed in the 516 years since Martin Luther made the same journey up the Scala Santa on his knees, asking “Who knows if it is true?” when he reached the top.

William Tyndale was burned at the stake for translating Scripture into plain English.

Two years later, Henry VIII ordered that an English Bible be placed in every church in England.

We thank God for Tyndale, the father of the English Reformation, 500 years after his death.

With so many contradicting voices online, people aren’t sure whom to trust.

Dr. Keith Mathison considers the challenge that Christians face in using technology to proclaim God’s truth faithfully and clearly.
