@benyt Everyone is saying he isn’t a journalist, but I’d like to hear their opinions of what is or isn’t journalism. Even if you don’t like what he does, it’s for sure concerning when the government tries to limit freedom of the press.
@DeanObeidallah Even Mexico has voter ID cards. Pretty sure we’re one of the only developed countries not to. How are you making this a big deal? You guys spew racist rhetoric like “black people don’t know how to find a dmv or get an id.”
Fun Fact: about 85% of fires in California are started by humans. Causes typically include: unattended campfires, burning debris, equipment use and malfunctions, negligently discarded cigarettes, and intentional acts of arson.

Very happy with the cdc’s order stopping evictions through the end of the year. Only thing left is for the legislature to find financial solvency for these landlords and tenants
@badgalriri1011 @SunriseKern I just want someone to explain how “go[ing] through with evictions is core to white supremacy, imperialism and colonialism”
@badgalriri1011 @SunriseKern I’ve already done a significant amount of the reading. If you ask me, this isn’t what Fredrick Engles has in mind. I was more interested in hearing different perspectives from individuals instead of reading some eclectic books on critical race theory.
@SunriseKern Sounds more like classism to me? I get how you can maybe say white supremacy (still a stretch), But can you explain how this promotes imperialism or colonialism?
Pretty sure IQ is the biggest factor in being able to determine if something is fake. Maybe it’s not an issue with news as much as it is with gullible people?
