When I was visiting my father today at Serdang GH, it was a pleasant sight to see @DrDzul, our Minister of Health, visiting the emergency ward of Serdang Hospital Cardiology Center.

Breaking as a category in Olympics has attracted a lot of attention, mainly because of Raygun's performance.

Despite that, those who actually watched the full thing will know breaking is much more than that.

These are how things are going to change for breaking after 2024 Paris Olympics.

1/ New wave of bboys and bgirls, inspired by Olympic bboys like Phil Wizard, Hiro10, Shigekix, Lee. Just like how it happened in Red Bull BC One era (Hong10, Taisuke, Wing, Lilou).

2/ Worldwide recognition of breaking, creating more opportunities for sponsorship.

3/ A more systematic way of training, incorporating sports science driven by new funding to develop breaking for Olympics.

4/ Athleticism favoured over art. Influenced by other categories in the Olympics, many will want breaking to be developed as a sport, taking away credit from things like flavour, musicality, and character.

5/ New jams catering to Olympic judging format and more push towards a standardised judging format.

Overall, it will keep the dance alive and evolve it to the next level. As a culture, we have to adapt but never compromise breaking as an artform.
